Catching Up!

My goodness it has been a while since I wrote anything! Let's see....We took our wares to a craft fair in Bella Vista, Arkansas two weeks ago. We were on the local evening news twice and in the newspaper twice! Folks are facinated by spinning wheels! I can't even begin to count the number of men and children that stopped and studied what I was doing.
Then last weekend, our hometown had open house at the historical society, and I took my spinning wheel down to their authentic 1800's cabin and demonstrated. I have spent the last several days trying to catch back up on laundry, house cleaning, cooking......yeah right! If you believe that I have a gorgeous piece of ocean front property to sell you! I made the mistake of going to the library and checking out the newest Francine Rivers novel, Her Daughter's Dream, and I have sat on my behind and read! F.R. is my favorite author of all time, and I have been wanting to read this book since it came out earlier this year. Oh well, the laundry isn't going to get up and walk off.

We had another baby born earlier this week:

He is out of full blood colored Border Leicester parents. His fleece is solid white except for his left front leg, which is dark grey. He is a real cutie, but I have to admit, I haven't seen an ugly lamb yet!

And just to aggravate my daughter, here is a lesson in farm girl fashion for all you city girls out there:

Note the boots with the shorts - useful to keep your legs cool, yet still protected from tall grass, poop and bugs. The hair in the sloppy bun to keep the wind from blowing it in your eyes or goats from chewing on it, and the really loud tie dyed t-shirt, which enables anyone to locate her whereabouts on the farm from a great distance. She is going to kill me when she reads this.

  1. Lori, cute lamb and daughter looks good...the traffic stopper is the old 59 yr old lady in a long green house coat opening and closing the sheep gates...hair standing straight up, boots!
I have been praying that the storms are missing you.
